I am a beautiful Silveroak's American Eskimo,(Silveroak's Love of Kate's Life...Schmoopy) that was born on March 30, 2007and went home with Kate in August of 2007 (at about 4 ½ months old.)
My "biological" parents are CH Silveroak's Dancing N Da Dark (Tango)(father)and CH Silveroak's Finding Juneau (Janet)(mother).
Mia was a rescue and has been loved and cared for by Kate since December 2000. Mia is the sweetest, kindest, most loveable dog ever! We try to play with her, and every now and then, she'll acquiesce but for the most part, Mia just likes her comfort (Kate’s bed or couch are her preferable places.) We understand she’s an older gal, so we ask her to play and if she doesn't want to, we know to leave her alone.
Sassy, another beautiful Silveroak’s American Eskimo (Silveroak's One Hot Little Number), was born July 9, 2008 and joined our family in September 2008 at 8 weeks old. We flew out to California for Ruth’s reunion and to pick her up. Most of the time, she is sooo much fun!! Admittedly, there are times where she truly lives up to her name! Keep an eye out for my little girl, as she will be shown!
Sassy's biological parents are CH Silveroak’s Juneau Arnold(Juneau) (father) and Silveroak’s Dare Me Not (Darcy) (Mother)
If you haven't been able to tell just how adored we are by Kate - just take a look through some of our pictures! (she must take pictures of us just about every day!)
We would be remiss if we didn’t mention Dakota (big sad sigh). Dakota was a rescue that joined Kate’s family in May of 2007. He was about a year and one month old at that time. Dakota was severely neglected and we believe likely abused. It took him a little while to adjust as he was scared to death of everyone and everything but once he did he was one of the most loveable, cutest dogs ever (although not too good with strangers). I was fortunate enough to meet Dakota in September of 2007 and we just about instantaneously became the best of friends! Dakota and I played constantly and snuggled together too! Unfortunately, while being boarded for a few days, on July 13, 2008 Dakota allegedly broke free of a slip lead while being walked, ran away quickly (in the direction of his home) and unfortunately was found later that evening although it was too late. You can imagine how devastated Kate was; how devastated we all were. But enough with sadness, we like to reflect on all the good memories we have of Dakota – which were many!! He was my best friend for almost a year and we will never forget him! Love you Dakota!!
